Food Can be your best medicine, or a slow poison.

Food Can be your best medicine, or a slow poison.

It’s time to be aware of the toxins, insecticides, and poisons in our foods, health care products, and cosmetics. To walk, run, or shop for a cure makes no sense when we are loading our shopping carts with products that make us sick. Stick to the outside perimeter of the grocery store, stay with foods that are not heavily processed (foods that aren’t in television commercials), and make the time to plan and prepare your own meals. You don’t need to be a trained chef, you just need to try some kitchen time. Check out my food pages for some inspiration.

Jaime Oliver is one of my favorite chefs. Not only does he create amazing dishes, but this guy is truly inspirational. I admire his efforts to help change the diet of American’s everywhere. I especially love that he tried to change lunch programs, starting in California. His cookbooks are wonderful, colorful, and I keep using this word, inspirational.
